V dnešním světě mají dudy své místo, a tak na festivalu můžete vidět nejen dudáky od věku dětského až do věku seniorského hrající folklor, ale i hráče na dudy v hudbě historické a rockové.

Festival je především příležitostí k setkání muzikantů, tanečníků a zpěváků z celé Evropy s širokou veřejností. Potkávají se nejen na vystoupeních, ale i neoficiálně v ulicích města či v hospůdkách a mají si co říci bez ohledu na jazykové bariéry. V neopakovatelné atmosféře se vídají staří známí a vznikají nová přátelství. Stírají se rozdíly národnostní, jazykové, ekonomické i intelektuální  a tím je do značné míry naplňována myšlenka sblížení evropských národů.

Každý ročník festivalu sestavuje tým lidí zapálených a nadšených a přesto, že je příprava festivalu práce nemalá, přináší nám všem radost.
